    Save. I have a hard time using Google map in Japanespecially pointing by direction East, West, North and South. I don't know which direction I am. This makes me walking out of blue dotted line and blue arrow is not pointing on the dotted blue line. Google map can't provide street name.I just end up asking the stranger.

I am getting comfortable with the idea that I will be frequently lost on my trip to Japan and while locals are friendly my likelihood of getting accurate directions help in English seems low. So I plan on having a phone to use for navigation.
