6. Re: Road Conditions in Winter ( I-94W ) 10 years ago. I agree, it completely depends on the weather at the moment. Over the course of an average winter though, probably 75% of days the weather and roads are clear and dry and traffic on that freeway would be safely moving at 70-80 mph.

Re: Minnepolis to Traverse City - What is the best driving route. Lake Express ferry is a faster catamaran, and does get canceled if the lake is too rough. It's faster at about 2 1/2 hours. The Badger is a traditional displacement hull steamship and it's travel time is approximately 4 hours.
