We took the Evan Evans general "London in One Day" tour on our first full day in London just to get an overview of the city. The whole operation was very professional and our guide was excellent. We stopped at the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, and the London Eye. All were good stops and our guide was knowledgeable and entertaining.

It is indeed a long day however in order to see 3 of the UK best tourist attractions (Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and the Roman Baths) you have to drive over 200 miles ...
