   It really depends on what you plan on seeing and doing. If you want to see/do primarily NYC you should get a hotel in Manhattan and a car is a complete nonsense. Expensive to rent, $50 per night to park and you can;t drive it around the city. You get around Manhattan by foot and subway.

What I don’t like about Hertz, they charge you each and every day of the rental, even if you never go through another toll. The max is $24 or so, but it’s just flat out wrong.
