It was authentic papyrus and a nice art selection in the shop. Negotiate the best deal possible in all of Egypt, and don't feel guilty here for doing the same. Nice group of people, and it was mostly a screen print style art that was signed. Keep in mind, it still comes from Egypt! Nice stuff to buy. Try and get papyrus art at the end of the tour.
