The parking area was near capacity on both days, we arrived around 1:00PM. Both days there were a few hundred people on the beach. The occupied area was approximately one mile in length. The texture of the sand is soft and fine, so expect some blowing sand if it is windy. There is a good slope to the beach, with the flatter area being near the top.
Paradise Beach is about 15 min from the port in Cozumel. Cabs are right in front of the shopping district. You can purchase a day pass for $3.00 which provides access to the fresh water pool, or the beach area. There are lounge chairs in both areas included with the pass. A large bar is near the pool and another bar at the beach.

Mostly geared toward teens to 20 year olds they have different cliff jumping experiences and slides that accommodate ages and sizes and the food was good but be prepared to spend money on food and drinks. You can bring canopy coolers chairs etc. They have cabanas to rent with a grill.
