If insurance was included in your booking, then it should have been reflected on the booking - you should have had something to show that insurance was included.

Hertz, Worst car rental experience. I scheduled a trip to Las Vegas and reserved a car from Hertz. The Hertz location I chose was located in the Paris Hotel, which was across the street from where I was staying. When I went to the Paris Hotel to see where the rentals were located, I was informed that this location was closed months ago.
When I called hertz customer service they "deemed it valid" and refused to refund the charge. Luckily going through a 3rd party I don't believe reservations are allowed to be changed without SAP Concur being involved so I believe I have some recourse. After 5 years of using solely hertz I will never rent from them again. They can keep the points.
