11 reviews. 13 helpful votes. Can you return Budget Car rental early? 3 years ago. So I booked a car from SFO Budget and (returning in Oakland) a few months ago for a 9 day trip for $700. The trip now has to be shortened to 6 days and I'll need to return the car early. If I rebook that trip, I'll end up paying $1020 now for the 6 days.
Alamo is on Level 4. You need to drive your rental car up the ramps to Level 4 inside the garage to return it. After returning your car, follow the signs to "SFO Terminals" or "AirTrains". They should all around inside the garage directing customers. If you don't want to take elevators, there are always stairs.
The reason I ask is that it is cheaper for me to rent 3 full days and use a $25.00 coupon from Alamo than to rent for 2 days and 14 hrs. So, I was thinking for booking for the 3 days and then turning in the car early, but I don't want to get penalized for doing this.

Even those which involve renting the car there and leaving the airport should answer your questions, as you would be doing the same process only in the reverse order.
8 helpful votes. Budget Car Rental (US) charged for returning early. 2 years ago. We hired a car for 21 days in Orlando, collect and return from MCO airport. We were due to drop it off at 5pm but we were 2 hours early. We checked the car back in with no dramas. 2 days after arriving home we were slapped with a $402 charge on the credit card.
