It has good museums, zoo, aquarium, etc. Check on the Pittsburgh forum if you want to canoeing, swimming, hiking, a cabin, etc. If not taking the kids, it also has a casino.

Hotel prices will probably be on the high side if you go either the weekend of Oct 8-9 or Oct 15-16. There's also the Laurel Highlands in PA.
