Two years ago we put 1200 miles on in 6 days around Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. Last year it was 1200 again from Rapid City and Yellowstone. This year Rocky Mountain National Park and on to Moab to visit Arches/Canyonlands the first week in Sept. The car was rented through Priceline 3 months ago with unlimited mileage.
No such thing. Only option is if you have an account with Hertz/Avis (created internationally) and under a plan e.g. corporate or private (example via AMEX Platinum), you can get something like this.
Most national car rental places allow unlimited miles, each franchise could put restrictions on it. the companies to look at are: Hertz, Avis, National , enterprise, Alamo, Dollar, thrifty,and budget. You need to talk to the individual places you are renting from to find out for sure.
