We are planning to rent a car, but it seems that all of the major car rental rental companies are charging an additional rate (minimum $250) because the pick-up and drop-off locations are different. For the 2 weeks we'll be there, the rental rate seem to average between $1000 to $1200.
-Hawaiian airlines discount with Avis: K816401 (This one tends to be the cheapest)-Island air discount with Budget: U030087-Other rental car options include Discount hawaii car rental, Adventures rent-a-jeep (used cheap 4x4s), Costco, Priceline and Expedia. I'm sure there are lots more options, but found these to be the best.

Alamo, Enterprise, Avis, and all other reputable companies have a minimum age of 21. Certain luxury vehicles may be restricted to those 30+.
