    In two weeks I have flights booked through American Airlines to fly from Kansas City-Chicago-Madrid. The Kansas City-Chicago flight is simply through AA. It takes off at 9:30am and arrive around 10:30am in Chicago. The Chicago-Madrid flight is a codeshare with Iberia airlines. It takes off at 4:40pm and arrives in Madrid at 7:45am local time.

An exception is when airlinestaff needs to physically see your passport before issuing a boarding pass. In that case you should receive all your boarding passes at the first airport.
