I was a constant visitor to the Freebirds on Lake Woodlands Dr back when they first opened 8 or 9 years ago. Back then, I never had any issues with the service. On my most recent visit, I ordered a quesadilla Togo from their Freebirds app on Christmas Eve. I showed up prior to the promised time and it was there waiting for me.
This was the first time we had tried freebirds. We both had the burritos that were really good. Every selection had an option. Different types of tortillas , even white or dark meat chicken 3 kinds of beans and on and on.. They have 4 sizes of burritos & trust me, unless you are a lineman for the Cowboys or a pro eater, don't go above the freebird.

The food is still good, and the atmosphere is always cool. I suspect that these little things I have begun noticing are the very beginning of the end for FREEBIRDS. Very sad because FREEBIRDS took the place of the Cow Hop as THE local restaurant in College Station. I lived at the original when I was in college. What a shame.

I have enjoyed eating at Freebirds since I first ate at one in College Station, Texas. I ordered the Freebirds chicken burrito , with Spanish rice, tomatoes, lettuce, onions , garlic, lime juice, and sliced avocado. You can put a lot of different things on your burrito but the sour cream and sliced avocados, for example, will cost you extra!
