Would that maybe help with guaranteeing the reservation? I tried to reach them to pre-pay but cant get through. I also have a backup rez with Thrifty through Hawaii Discount Care Rental for $200 cheaper but trying to follow advice here about booking direct for better chance at getting the car and perhaps not having as long a wait at the counter ...
