Pros and cons of using priceline, travelocity and such. In my continued search for the cheapest ticket to Vegas I have found it on priceline. I have never used those types of locations to book flights, always gone via the airline but the rate I got from Price line of $287 RT can't be matched by the airlines directly.

Hi! We are going to rent a car for two days to go from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon.. Reviewing the prices I see that when making the reservation directly in Avis it comes out for 397 dollars: 218 of the car, 89 of LDW and ALI (insurance) and 80 of taxes, while in Priceline for the same car for the same date it gives a total price of 203, indicates that this includes taxes and the two insurances.
We booked a car rental and when we arrived at the airport we took a shuttle bus to their office and they told us that their system is down. We asked them if we could come a pick up the car the next day and they told us that the best thing we could is to cancel the reservation, go back to the airport and try to find another rental company cause they dont know when their system would be back.
Mindy, I've got a full size rental car booked with Alamo for Nascar Week, dates March 2- 8. The rates go up and down as You know, but I am now paying $140.82 (out the door).
