Answer 1 of 3: Going to OBX (Duck) 7/20/19 from Norfolk. I see there is a Food Lion in Grandy. Would this be a good place to stop for groceries rather than fighting the crowds after crossing the bridge? Not familiar with Food Lion stores.

Drive in to the "center" of Hatteras. On the right is a small grocery store that should be able to meet some of your needs. On the way down in Avon there is a Food Lion on the right, which is much larger. Bakeries - I can't remember the name of it. But on the right in Buxton (where the road curves) this is a great bakery/lunch place.
