   Just checked the Discount Car rental site, and noticed that they're offering a car through both Dollar and Thrifty (for the 23 days I will be there, from June 6 to June 28) both for $617 (that's $80 lower than my current booking with Enterprise, booked through Alamo (booked a compact).

I have booked a car rental at the Kona airport with Budget and now I see a better price with either Thrifty or Dollar. BUT i see all of these companies get really bad reviews on Trip Advisor for this location.

   In the second section (Step 2) under "preferred rental company" you can select which one; it will tell you which brand is which. I selected Brand A for Avis. It took between 36-48 hours to get a solid confirmation, but it came back w/a confirmation number which, when I plugged it into the Avis system came up with my actual requested reservation.
