Once you enter your PNR (record locator) and name and your itinerary is located, you can pull up the seat map (as indicated above) by selecting Change Seats.

To check in to your flight prior to arriving at the airport using the AA app, you do indeed need to use the VeriFLY app. It is not even remotely “user friendly”, but apparently it’s a necessary evil. Here’s hoping it will save a ton of time without having to stand online to check in. 4.

Even if you have already bought your seat selection they might have cancellations or changes and you might get side by side seats.
1. Re: American Airlines (Operated by BA) Online Check-In Advice. 5 years ago. BA and AA work on different GDSs. You'll need to have the PNRs for each and check in online separately for each leg. BA will add a tag at LHR to check it all the way to LAS, but you need to reclaim it for clearing US Customs at LAX.

We were informed that some of our flights would be operated by American Airlines (an Iberia partner). Our flight to Spain is tomorrow, and now I'm having major issues trying to confirm that we are ticketed.
