7 years ago. As I frequently travel with my small son, I often have multilpe boarding passes on my phone. For security you just scan yours and hand over your ID, then say "and this one is for [my son, my husband, my daughter, etc.], and scan that one while they (or you) hand over their ID. Same thing at the boarding gate, just without the ID part.

You need to change what is on record before trying to check in with the new numbers, or the system will "see" a discrepancy between the details it has on ...

Even if you have already bought your seat selection they might have cancellations or changes and you might get side by side seats.

BA will add a tag at LHR to check it all the way to LAS, but you need to reclaim it for clearing US Customs at LAX.
