Google Maps is fine, but you do need to get the spelling of the place names right or it might send you somewhere completely different ! Just remember that it only attempts to give drive times & cannot include rest /photo/toilet/coffee stops. We do recommend a driver reviver every 2hr so if GM says 5hr, expect to take more than 6 hr.
6 years ago. Yes, Google Maps works perfectly here. Three things to make sure you have: 1 - A mount for the phone to attach to the dash or the air-vent (these can be bought quite cheaply) 2 - An Irish SIM card which you can put into your (unlocked) phone so you're no worried about data roaming.
Re: Google Maps in Hong Kong. 1 year ago. Google Map works fine in Hong Kong in general. But the map data is grossly inaccurate for regions that bordered with Shenzhen (China). You can clearly see it. The boundaries, roads, bridges don't match on both sides. Google Map cannot be trusted in China.

Google Maps isn’t working in many countries where Apple Maps is working. When I went to Morocco last time in 2018 only Apple Maps was working, at least for navigating with my rental car. In the meantime I heard that Google Maps is working in Morocco but in South Korea maybe it would be better to stick to Apple Maps.
