3 years ago. Kirk, you did not rent a car from Priceline, you rented from a rental company and had Priceline book it. That means you are held to the terms you agreed to with both companies. You are not entitled automatically to a refund because you had personal things go wrong.
I think Priceline has gotten away from their original sales model. They used to mainly offer blind bidding for potential steep discounts. When I looked at Priceline recently for a car rental their prices were comparable to booking through any other third party or booking direct and most of the listings named the rental car company.
Our last trip to Orlando for a ten day rental on a Charger was $167 total with tax ($12) thru priceline. So go with what gives you the best deal. Absolutely agree to the message “Beware” - Do Not Book a car rental through Priceline.com. I wished I had seen these warnings before my booking. My Christmas plan was ruined as I did not want to pay the ridiculous double rate for a 4 days car rental, which went from the confirmed rate of $187 to $457 when I arrived at ACE Rent A Car (LAX).

1) If your local you can only get 150 miles. 2) You cannot go out of state. 3) you must have a recent utility bill on hand. Why would i book a Car to travel out of state for unlimited miles under these conditions. It really wasn't the car companies problem this is there rules and i respect that.
