   That's why the liability rates are all over the board. It used to be that all the rental companies charged either $18.50 or $23.50 per day for liability. Hertz and Avis are always more and Thrify and a couple of others were less when a client's credit card insurance policy required the rental company to exclude the "minimal" CDW coverage.

   Thanks. It appears there's no AAA discount on Hertz right now except for weekend and weekly rentals (I'm renting for 4 weekdays). Hertz has a 25% off discount coupon code, but it only allows one CDP code, so it won't let me enter my AAA information to get the free second driver.
