   Discounts such as the 10% senior or RPA discount will apply only the rail fare. They will NOT be applied to accommodation charge. Amtrak will occasionally offer a BOGO sleeper sale. Timing on those seems pretty random to me. This will allow two people to ride paying only one rail fare. It does not apply to the much higher accommodation charge.

   I chose the downstairs seating of the car, which were leather (the upstairs were cloth and it seemed more quiet downstairs). You get two free waters, a $6 food coupon (useful in the cafe or dining car), and there were some mini pillows available you find on airlines. The train was 28 minutes early. Business class restrooms were very clean.
