When I went to sign the contract, it was $120 more than I had reserved. He explained it cost $10 per every partial of full day for a spouse to drive plus tax.
The Payless counter is not located inside the terminal, as is the case with other car rental companies at Denver.The problem is that once we got to the offsite counter we realized there was an extremely long wait, with no chance to walk over to another company without returning to the terminal via shuttle and taking a different shuttle.

The best I could get at Dollar was $444 for the week. The round trip shuttle will cost $90, but rentals in Colorado Springs are about $250 less than Denver, and since I'm working for a non-profit, I'll probably go ahead and do that. It's hard to belief the difference in prices between the two cities.
