I believe Alamo is around $200 and Thrifty can be up to $350. Best answer, though, is to read the fine print on the confirmation page when you're booking online. It will give all of the details (charges for extra driver, gas prices if you don't bring back full, etc.).
May 26, 2024, 4:20 AM. I had a horrible experience, I was charged $100 more than prepaid rental. I was told it was my fault for taking an upgrade. I did not take an upgrade, the car was as described on the reso. Thrifty customer service did nothing to help, just blamed me. Never rent w them.
I have tried all the sites suggested and always end up booking with the rental company directly. I just booked 11 days with thrifty for $ 313.00 total ( including the crazy fees ) for a wild car. I used the AAA discount, hot deals, and am a Blue Chip Member. Just keep checking because prices can change a few times a day.
