Would that not be the most prudent thing. Hopefully you are a Hertz gold member so as to pick up the car quickly.
With any of the Major Car Rental Companies, the best thing to do is sign up for the Frequent Renter Program, such as Hertz #1 Gold.Basically you do all the "paperwork" in advance at home, and in most locations, bypass the counter and go straight to your vehicle (Electronic Boards show which space it is located at), and then just show your drivers license to the Security Staff at the exit.
There are special rental companies that have true muscle cars, but the rate will be very high and you may have a hard time finding a one-way rental. We once got a Dodge Charger by renting in the "premium car " category, but most companies will just say car X "or equivalent."
That will be a very difficult one-way rental. Are those prices the one-way fee you found? Other things to watch for on one-ways are mileage charges (versus unlimited), higher daily rates plus drop fees. I would be very surprised if either the Hertz and Avis charges were accurate. One way rentals are impossible to expensive.

The hertz.com website gives me a price of $720 for this one-way rental (if I choose pick-up Phoenix and return to Phoenix it's $720 again). So it doesn't include the drop-off fee. Is there any drop-off fee or it is weived ?
