The Old Mill is open on Christmas Day. It serves a buffet style turkey dinner (with all the trimmings)and has several sittings. The food is not the best the city has to offer. although it is more than adequate, but the ambience is perfect for this time of the year. Another restaurant open Christmas Day, is Victor.
5. Re: Places for a Christmas meal. 17 years ago. You could also consider a meal at the restaurant Aux Anciens Canadiens, in the oldest house of Québec City (built in 1675), about 200 feet from the Château Frontenac. It is not a diner, but is probably cheaper than Château Frontenac.
The BB33 Brasserie in the Delta Chelsea on Gerrard Street is holding a Christmas Day dinner buffet from 5 to 9 pm, at a cost of $36 per person. We've been there twice for Christmas Day buffets -- in both 2002 and 2003 -- and thought the food quality and variety were excellent.
1. Re: Christmas Day in Santiago. 7 years ago. Christmas day is an obligatory holiday for businesses although restaurants can open and some do. But there will not be many open other than in hotels. People here have their Christmas meal on the evening of the 24th so not many are wanting restaurants on Christmas day.
Blogto.com usually has lists of what's open and closed on Christmas Day, including restaurants, services and attractions. As an example, here are the lists from 2019 and 2020. To a great extent they don't change from year to year, except last year the city was in lockdown so most attractions were closed anyway.
5 years ago. Just got back and in case anyone is interested for next Christmas, there were quite a few places open on Christmas Day, so don't be afraid to go during the holiday. Christmas Eve was the big celebration so most places closed early - we went out for dinner, walked along the beach, and then went to a hotel bar.

Victor the restaurant at the Germain Hotel on Mercer Street is open on Christmas Day. It's lovely....has great ambience, very good food and just overall is a very nice and relaxing place. Also The Old Mill has a buffet on Christmas Day, although they tend to get booked up early, but you could try, they may still have something.
