5. Re: Toll charge payment for rental car. From my experience, Hertz takes around a week to process the toll charges, which are then compiled and charged to the same card you used for the rental. The toll tag is included in the rental rate, so the additional charge is just for the actual toll charges accrued + 25% VAT.
2. Re: Preparing to Avoid Rental Car fees on Tolls. 4 years ago. Hertz charges something like $4.99 per day, once you go through the first toll. What I don’t like about Hertz, they charge you each and every day of the rental, even if you never go through another toll. The max is $24 or so, but it’s just flat out wrong.
3. Re: Paying a Parking Ticket in Madrid. 11 years ago. There should be instructions about how to pay in the letter sent to you, or at the very least a phone number to call. If all else fails, call Hertz as suggested by Holajks. Parking tickets, speeding fines etc can all obviously catch up with you.

I have a few reservations with different companies. I’ll be canceling and let one or two remain. Right now I have enterprise $590; and thrifty $400; and Avis $600.
For the record, this review covers our visit to Aruba from Sunday, October 13, 2019 to Saturday, October 19, 2019. First things first, as with other aspects of arriving in Aruba on a Sunday, our experience with the rental car portion of our vacation was wonderful. The office was quiet, the staff were polite and professional and the car was ready.
I arrived to pick up my rental with my $480 9 day rental reservation that I had made with Southwest Airlines. One hour of lies and games, trying to rent me a Jeep for $3000. Telling me they didn’t have my car because it was peak season, trying to charge me $100 a day for insurance, every lie and scam you can imagine.
Hertz has charged me 455,76 Euro instead of 196 Euro. The amount of 196 Euro was in the contract I had signed. While I was dropping the car off one of Hertz employees noticed a little cut on the front left tyre and Hertz has charged me for these.
