Sadly, the prices($5-20/day) quoted on the websites do not include the Mexican required insurance and must be added to the rental or a deposit is taken from your credit card to cover damage to the car.

What I don’t like about Hertz, they charge you each and every day of the rental, even if you never go through another toll. The max is $24 or so, but it’s just flat out wrong.

I have a few reservations with different companies. I’ll be canceling and let one or two remain. Right now I have enterprise $590; and thrifty $400; and Avis $600.
#5, "I have seen fine print from Hertz and Dollar that says you can't take the car out of Spain". That's funny because apart from already giving you (in #1) the information about AVIS, I just looked up the conditions for rental from Hertz in Barcelona, and they do not say what you say they do.
4. Re: For car rental, avoid Hertz. 6 years ago. Problem is same with non airport locations of hertz. They have spread quicker than other car rental companies and have lowered quality of service as result in Mexico City. DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ: Initial quoted price $150 - over $500 at the end of the day.
For the record, this review covers our visit to Aruba from Sunday, October 13, 2019 to Saturday, October 19, 2019. First things first, as with other aspects of arriving in Aruba on a Sunday, our experience with the rental car portion of our vacation was wonderful. The office was quiet, the staff were polite and professional and the car was ready.
