Ferndale is a city in Humboldt County, California, United States. Its population was 1,481 (2021 census), [8] up from 1,371 at the 2010 census. The city contains dozens of well-preserved Victorian storefronts and homes.
Fortunately many of the old houses and buildings have been preserved as "Victorian" although nobody who lived here pre-1960 considerd this anything but a small rural farming town. It was settled and inhabited by two ethnic groups, Danish and Potuguese dairy farmers. Their churches, social halls and cemetery remain.

You won't be disappointed as this Victorian village is steeped in history and it is so worth your time to get out and walk the sidewalks / streets.
