    13 years ago. Absolutely use the metro or any other form of public transportation. We are from a small town in the midwest, and had never used any sort of public transportation in a large city. We visited DC in August and used the metro system; found it very easy and efficient to use, took it everywhere. Less cost than a rental car or parking.
