   For this trip I booked an intermediate car with Costco for budget back in Jan. I played the watch game to rebook at a lower rate. I was delighted when our 11 day rental dropped to $350 the week prior to departure. ----only to have hubby say cancel, I prefer National bec he too is Emerald member We paid approx $100 more but we took a SUV from Executive aisle and drove right off.

   I am a member of the Emerald Club and have used National Car Rental at Tampa Airport for the last 8 yrs at least 2-3 times a year. I just checked the rates for a standard car from Nov 6-Nov 20 and with 2 coupons and my contract id the cost is $816.50. I just checked the rates at the Westin National and for the same amt of days it's $350.89.

   Answer 21 of 25: Well , I broke down and booked 15 days at $12.50 day . $450 total. It’s what we’re comfortable with and DHCR is still over $900 arriving in 14 days .

Hi all, I haven’t been to Maui since they built the new car rental facility and I was wondering if National has their skip the counter option there. Honolulu has this but Kona and Kauai both do not. I find this is well worth the few extra bucks after a long day of travel.
