The Budget office was closed and Avis was managing Budget's rental cars at the Denver Airport. There were three to four people working at the counter and more than 500 people waiting. The indoor area was over-crowded leaving hundreds of people exposed to COVID-19, elderly people were falling down and children and adults were crying.

Here's a good tip. Go online and apply for an Avis Preferred Membership. They will take all the pertinent info down including your credit card.

Hi Kimtraveler. I frequently rent cars at the Orlando airport and have found Budget to be the quickest. I strongly recommend you sign up for Budget's Fastbreak program as it lets you bypass the regular line where the wait can be extremely long. There is a rental counter right in the airport, simply go into the Fastbreak line, get your paperwork ...

To answer the OP, Id choose Avis. as mentioned same company but Budget is their "budget" brand and Payless is their ultra budget brand. I only will rent from Avis, NAtional or Hetrz and am a part of each preferred memeber of each which allows me to g ostright to my car as detailed above. Reply.
12 helpful votes. 3. Re: Avis vs Budget. 3 years ago. In fact they are the same company. Avis is the business brand and Budget the leisure brand, but very little difference. The big locations like airports should have enough cars, but smaller locations could run out of cars.
