You can buy them in kiosks and ticket offices - just show your parrport or any other identification which proves you are 67 or more, and you will get your discount.
You have to be 67 or older. Spouses are eligbible if the other is over 67. 2. Re: Eligibility for a senior citizen train ticket. Hi, Non-European Union tourists are eligible for such fares. In fact Norway is not a member of the EU! Please also note that the Minipris ticket may be cheaper than a senior citizen ticket.
1. Re: Senior Discounts in Norway. 9 years ago. Generally yes. Discounts from age 67. For train tickets you need ID for ticket inspection, but not to buy from machine or on-line. The minipris will often be cheaper than full-price ticket with discount, but minipris is not flexible. Report inappropriate content.

Passport would be OK, Drivers licence perhaps - never seen a US one (and probably neither have ticket inspectors so it depends on how secure and non-forgeable it looks). The important bit is that your date of birth/age is clear. Note that on longer journeys the minipris may be cheaper than over 67 ...

I want to buy senior train tickets from Oslo to Bergen (not NIN) for midMay 2023 and have run into a couple problems. I have looked at 3 sites and they all give different information: Vy, railninja and norwaytrains.
We stayed with family in June 2018 and took the train from Oslo to Bergen and then back again. I booked the tickets online on the nsb.no website. It was very easy. There is a significant discount for all seniors age 67 and older. ALSO, IF YOU ARE MARRIED, YOUR SPOUSE GETS THE DISCOUNT EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT YET 67. THAT WAS THE CASE WITH MY WIFE.
