We're going to be renting a car at Bozeman airport. The reviews for Hertz, Avis, and Budget seem to indicate some customer service issues and/or car issues (damaged/faulty cars ). Enterprise seems to fare better but is more expensive. You know how reviews can be - mostly the bad experiences post.

I live in Toronto Canada. I booked a small car on January 4, 2020, for a week (Jan 15-Jan 22) through CarFlexi. I paid the deposit and I supposed to pay the remaining $146 US to Avis Car Rental in Costa Rica. When I arrive at Avis, the person at the desk refused to charge me the balance of $146 based on my contract.

I come back the next day and low and behold I'm charged $75.00 for all this. I complained and the person at the desk simply said - sorry cant help you - you should have read what you signed. I used to love AVIS when I traveled weekly - this is NOT the same AVIS!!! BAD NASTY and Inconsiderate Customer Service at the ATL airport location.

We have Avis Preferred and landed after 6:00 p.m. HST two weekends ago. After 6pm in Kauai, Avis and Budget combine efforts. Apparently the Avis system will also sometimes go offline for maintenance and they choose the middle of the night for the mainland but it impacts Hawai'i during the early evening.
