Entered my Hertz rental agreement number and proceeded to pay the $19.50 by my Visa card, here comes the "con", right at the end of the process the dollar sign changed to a pound sign - I was about to be charged £19.50 not $19.50. Time to phone them, and here came another problem they are unable to accept non US credit cards over the phone.
Hertz provided link to online app supposedly to help with getting car charged. But, could not download/access due to EU data protection laws! You would think Hertz would know about this restriction for travelers from USA. Attempted to call Hertz customer service for assistance ….. not one phone number worked.

What I don’t like about Hertz, they charge you each and every day of the rental, even if you never go through another toll. The max is $24 or so, but it’s just flat out wrong.

And, because you can choose your own car, you CAN get results in a free upgrade if a larger car is available on the aisle. Bozeman is a very small airport. No garages. No aisles. No choosing your own car. You wait at the counter and the agent will give you your contract, keys to the pre-assigned car and directions to where to pick it up.
Those instructions make no sense to me. I am pretty sure there is now Hertz return at terminal 3 (I know the web page says there is, but it also says that is the location for returns to terminal 1, which was closed in 2015).
