That doesn't mean that they won't take them, but you could get someone that is a stickler for policy. Report inappropriate content.

1. Re: Renting a car without a credit card. 14 years ago. Many car rentals will say they do not take debit cards, but this isn't true. Call around to some of the Name brand companies and explain you do NOT use credit cards. I have heard through the radio talk show with Dave Ramsey that they will accept debit.
Through Expedia; Enterprise is the cheapest with their compact cars, ranging from $382 to Avis’ $400 (which is what i was thinking about booking, the price through their company is $800 for the same amount of time), Budget seems the most expensive ranging from $500-$700, just through a third-party rental company.
Photoguy, if someone books a rental car and shows up at a particular Avis location and can't use a debit card, and doesn't have an available credit card, it might make it difficult and costly getting a replacement rental car, as happened to the traveler in the original incident with Dollar.
