I have used Hotwire a ton of times for rental cars, and love it. Little better than priceline even. Several times in Vegas, ALL good experiences. Highly recommend using a service like Hotwire, Priceline or Costco for rental cars. Good luck and happy travels! Report inappropriate content. Eve921.
12 years ago. The only thing about using Hotwire or another site is sometimes you get rental car companies that charge for additional drivers- that can be an extra $10 per day. In fact a number of companies now charge for additional drivers- Dollar, Thrifty, Alamo unless Insiders Club member, and Hertz unless AAA member.
I didn't use Hotwire, used Kayak. It was Dollar, the guy said it was about 1.5 mi north of the airport. 2400 Miami Road. That didn't work for me in many ways as I have two small children, arriving late after the off-airport rental location is closed.
$10/day!!! (economy) Some dates in Jan and February were $9/day... our trip is March 21st-25th. I booked with Thrifty, but I believe I saw Dollar on there too. If anyone has any discount codes I could plug in there, that'd be awesome!
13 years ago. Save. I have used Hotwire for cars a few times. Never had a problem and it's always been a big name car rental agency. Budget and Hertz are two I can remember, but they use about five of the bigger name agencies. I've gotten good deals with them, too. (it was not in San Francisco, but still the same process & company)
I just rented a standard sized car for 3 days through Hotwire.com. I searched using Enterprise, Expedia and Mamason's link but Hotwire showed $30 bucks cheaper so I took the risk. It gave me Hertz. I'll update this post of my experience with the car rental through Hotwire.
