   I got an upgrade to a full size for free when I was out there 2 weeks ago. Didn't even ask, guy just gave it to me. There are no supervisors around, so just print your contract at the kiosk and when you go into the garage, slip him a $20 and ask for an upgrade.

   The initial rental car location ends up with a car that now can't be rented in it's local area, so it ends up being down a car. Without seeing the T&C's, we have no idea whether the $750, which does sound very high, was based on the location/distance you were driving the car to or was a flat fee that Alamo has in it's contract with Allegiant.

   Reserved a SUV w Alamo and its almost 50% less than other companies. Read a post that they were awful, with long waits, dirty cars, and lots of anxiety. Anyone else experience these negatives? I would appreciate any suggestions for a positive rental experience. THanks.

   Thanks for all the input..I;ve already booked with alamo and pre-paid so although i can upgrade, i couldnt cancel and then book elsewhere. I'm probably going to bite the bullet and just upgrade now. I like the biggest car i get can, especially when i'm away and as we will be touring around cape cod, i want the big vehicle.
