Gost town during the day, might be lively in the evening. Jan 2023. Unless you go to Spanish Springs in the evening, it is a ghost town. It looks pretty and clean but there is hardly anyone there during the day. There are a few restaurants in the square and hardly any shops. Simply nothing to do unless you want to drink or have a bite.

Have lived in The Villages for 12 + years and visit Spanish Springs at least 2/week for drinks,companionship and entertainment. Great parking and seating with shade in the summer evenings and open areas for cooler days and evenings. Come out an enjoy.
Spanish Springs is a great place for entertainment, shopping, relaxation, and dining. Go to the evening entertainment which is free every evening. Buy your breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Panera and eat it on the spacious Victorian veranda of the sales office. Stroll the streets and drop into the friendly shops.
The Town Square's entertainment are free to all the public. The town squares are available to the local residents and visitors to of Florida. There are many events scheduled as well as daily music in the Square from 5-9pm. There are also eateries and shops that surround the square.

We visited the Spanish Springs Town Square based on the nightly entertainment. There is LIVE entertainment from 5-9PM EVERY evening, and Happy Hour from 5-7PM. The square is the smallest of the 3 in the Villages, hence the most intimate. It also offer the most shade, as it's the most mature and is largely surrounded by a few large oak trees.
