In the past, I have purchased a SIM card ATT GoPhone SIM card (now ATT Prepaid) from a local store for my short US trips. For my next trip I am looking to purchase a competitively priced SIM card for one month, with US phone number and data.

If your son can wait until he gets off of the airport, it would be so much cheaper to go to a Walmart, Target, Best Buy king of store. If he has to buy at DFW, there are two located in the D terminal- Best Buy Express and Straight Talk Wireless.

   If you have unlocked compatible phone then you can buy the Tracfone sim chip at any Walmart store. Tracfone works in Dallas and many big cities across the US. 2. In London for example, you can find say a Vodafone or O2 sim card at a SIM Local shop at Heathrow, whereas doing something similar here is a little more complex. Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, etc typically don't have retail spaces in US airports ...

   We're Canadians that travel to the U.S. regularly. We use T-Mobile's Pay by the Day plan which is $3 a day for unlimited talk, text and web. We purchased a SIM card for $15 at a T-Mobile kiosk in the U.S. and then logged in online to load up the SIM card with enough money to last throughout our trip.

You might call them and see if they have what you require. As a side note, all of the shops are inside the secure area, so don't leave the secure area if your not a ticketed passenger.
