   Thanks. It appears there's no AAA discount on Hertz right now except for weekend and weekly rentals (I'm renting for 4 weekdays). Hertz has a 25% off discount coupon code, but it only allows one CDP code, so it won't let me enter my AAA information to get the free second driver.

   I once took advantage of a Thrifty promotion on a Mustang convertible out of SJC - paid $40 a day for it (about the same as what a standard rental would have cost for the same period). Also, make sure you book a fully cancelable rate on the car (this means NO PRICELINE), and check periodically to see if goes down so you can rebook if it does.
