1. Re: Google Maps walking times. First, use the subway. If you choose to walk, I would add 10 minutes for short distances and 20+ minutes for long distances, just to be safe. Once you start to understand how long it takes you to walk from A to B across streets/avenues, then you can adjust.

Google maps is great for this kind of stuff. Just go to google.com and select "maps" and you can plot the driving or walking distance between just about any 2 places. We used the Red Lion Shuttle, but also walked up to the light rail station. From the airport, follow the signs to the light rail station for trains into Seattle.
