10 years ago. I use Hotwire often for renting in Vegas as well. The Special is that they guarantee you will get a mid size or above for that price. My experience has been whatever cars they have the most of the people aren't selecting (usual mini vans) is what you end up with.
Every other time I've been able to get great deals directly with the rental agencies. Google for coupons and promo codes. Last time I rented I was able to find 1 promo code and 1 coupon that brought the price down incredibly low. I have used Hotwire a ton of times for rental cars, and love it. Little better than priceline even. Several times in Vegas, ALL good experiences. Highly recommend using a service like Hotwire, Priceline or Costco for rental cars. Good luck and happy travels! Report inappropriate content. Eve921.
13 years ago. Save. I have used Hotwire for cars a few times. Never had a problem and it's always been a big name car rental agency. Budget and Hertz are two I can remember, but they use about five of the bigger name agencies. I've gotten good deals with them, too. (it was not in San Francisco, but still the same process & company)
