Thanks to OP, I am intrigued by this Midnight Diner so now I am watching it. I like the concept, every episode is a self-contained short story. I guess one effect of this show must be that you will feel like eating the dish being featured in each epiosde like the neko manma in season 1 episode 2.

Yes, i saw both movies but didn’t find the stories appealing. Maybe part 2 was better because the story surrounding the old lady was heart warming. The young chef seems to have grown rounder and prettier in part 2. I still prefer the tv series better.
