    9 years ago. Yup, every resort I've ever been to in Mexico asks to see both the kids' passports and ours. I know for sure that they were checking the kids' ages on one occasion because, despite the passport, the front desk clerk specifically asked my son what year he was born. (He was under the requisite age limit but looked much older.)
