The Columbus Driving Park is a cultural landmark that defines the district. The Columbus, Ohio Driving Realty Company bought the land and located it in between Ellsworth and Seymour Avenue. It is most famous for holding the first 24-hour automobile race on July 3, 1905.
This park has several different trails ranging in length from 0.4 miles to 3.5 miles. There is no shortage of picnic areas and play grounds in this park. They have a Nature center, sledding hill for when it snows, a canoe launching area in the back of the park on a river. The park is over 1,000 acres.
