This was one of the worst car rental experiences I've ever had and I've literally rented several hundred cars over the past few years. The wait for the shuttle from the airport to the rental center should have been my 1st tip.

Thrifty car rental at Denver airport , is fraud . I rented a car thru Hotwire , paid in advance. Yet, when you get there, they ask for a $200.00 deposit for anything on your credit card. This is where you get screwed ! When I returned the car I filled it up with gas at a gas station right next door to the rental agency.

Customer service did not mention a word that you had to opt in for "Plate Pass All Inclusive Service". Mind you, all cars are equipped with the toll tag ...
23 reviews. 9 helpful votes. Thrifty Car Rental at DIA. 11 years ago. I was able to get a really great rate at Thrifty for July 24-Aug 1 using my Discover card and Shop Discover. I read some really terrible reviews of Thrifty on another forum. These reviews were, however, in 2011.

6. Re: Dollar or Thrifty Rental Car from DIA. Enterprise has a great deal on SUV's at DIA- $21 per day and you don't have to pay for an additional driver if it is your spouse like you do with Dollar and Thrifty. Might add that I have been checking rates for September so don't know about July or August rates.
