United Airlines Standby/Pass Rider Question. 5 years ago. Hi all - My father is a retired UAL employee and now that I'm one of his Enrolled Friends. I have standby reservation from Barcelona to Boston with a connecting flight in New Jersey coming up. My standby tickets are for Polaris Business/First Class, respectively.

I booked a flight on Swiss Airlines (SFO - ZRH) through the United Airlines site simply because it was a direct flight and also the cheapest at the time.

There is a G economy fare, but if you choose BE for an international trip, that G code is the one used for BE, not N which is restricted to domestic travel. You can see this by doing a dummy booking YYC-ORD and looking at the BE vs E fare code.

I haven't booked these yet, but I need to book flights from SFO -> Frankfurt -> Nairobi -> SFO. Turns out that the SFO-> Frankfurt flight is on United, the remaining are on Lufthansa (codeshare).
Answer 1 of 10: I have: --No Premier status --K fare class ticket --MileagePlus Awards upgrade I'm 5th on an upgrade waiting list for a flight to LHR tomorrow. United shows 44/48 of the Polaris business seats booked.
9. Re: Upgrading from economy to Business in United Airlines. The baggage allowances for United/LH USA to India are -. Economy (no status) - ONE bag @23kg. Business Class (no status) - TWO bags @32kg. Elite status can get you an extra bag, and elite status with United (Gold and up) can get you three bags @32kg.
