Nov 2011 • Solo. Bonham State Park features a pleasant cross-timbers wooded area surrounding a small lake. The woods are laced with easy but enjoyable hike and bicycle trails. The lake offers reasonably good fishing, including a small fishing pier, as well as the simple joy of paddling around in a rented canoe.
There is a boat ramps and a boat permit is required for all watercraft on Lake Bonham. The permits can be purchase at lakeside store. There is a lighted fishing pier volleyball courts, playground and beach. Bonham Recreation Area is open daily (365 days a year) 6:00 am - 10:00 pm for non-campers and non-fisherman.
